Melitta Baumeister
A fashion design and society student at Parons, Melitta Baumeister's graduation collection was shown at NYFW. Her work binds fashion, objects, sculpture, and installation to create architecturally inspired pieces. She applies techniques such as casting garments in silicone so they can hold their shape outside of the raw fabric that is used. The core of her line interweaves architecture, fine art, sculpture, and materiality.
