Violated Threads
A little bit street, a little bit rock 'n' roll, Violated Threads is a brand purely bred by the raucous spirit of New York City. Artist/founder, Johnny Mattei, cites the "good and grit" of his Bronx upbringing as his major source of inspiration, creating T-shirt designs ranging from eclectic street art to risqué photos. Each line is also limited edition and personally signed by the designer. (Let's just say these definitely aren't T-shirts you'll find at your local Urban Outfitters.)
The brand also supports up-and-coming musicians, featuring a new band on their website every season, which gains exposure for both the clothes and the music. Now that's what we would call a stylishly symbiotic relationship!
