After devouring the short rib brisket blend burgers topped with gruyere, truffle mayonnaise and mushrooms on a house made brioche bun, the most important part of the evening was upon us: the scoring. We were each handed an index card to rate the meat, toppings, bun and fries. The club started off as a group of friends trying to stay in touch while trying different restaurants in Little Italy, until they decided to taste – and rate – the best burgers in the city. After singing the Pledge of Allegiance, the guys talked about, well, guy stuff. They may have a waiting list to get in, and I might have a few social media haters now after a picture was posted of me with the guys, but these club members were just on a simple mission to find good food with good friends.
