The Smile

Before Matt Kliegman and Carlos Quirarte brought us Westway, they created a small cafe/general store in Noho called The Smile. The rustic and homey atmosphere that vaguely resembles Freeman's, seeks to leave all the glamor of the trendy Noho neighborhood outside and immerse their artsy clientele in their down-to-earth and romantic coffee shop. Though you can buy things such as coffee beans and various clothing items in the front store, most people simply go to the back and order one of their delectable desserts and an espresso.
