It is thought as an extension of his New York studio and live-in space on Grand at Forsyth, up the street, and a place for friends to gather: artists, authors, designers,etc. There will be revolving art shows, readings, etc. The cafe features these incredible Jean Prouvé benches from André's private collection that were once part of the University of Paris School of Medicine Paris's main amphitheater. André has been acquiring them over the years with the idea that one day he will find a project and a home for them.
