New York Botanical Garden Conservatory Ball

Why: The New York Botanical Garden will hold its annual spring gala, the Conservatory Ball, on June 5, 2014. This year’s Conservatory Ball will be honoring Gregory Long’s 25 years of service as the C.E.O. and William C. Steere Sr. President of The New York Botanical Garden. The Gala Chairmen are Mrs. Eric C. Fast, Mrs. Timothy M. George, Mrs. Charles B. Johnson, and Mrs. Sylvester F. Miniter IV, alongside Honorary Chairmen are Mrs. Jeremy H. Biggs, and Mrs. Richard L. Chilton, Jr., and Mrs. B. Robert Williamson, Jr. Themed “Groundbreakers: Great American Gardens of the Early 20th Century and the Extraordinary Women Who Designed Them,” Conservatory Ball guests will be able to view the special exhibition inside the landmark Enid A. Haupt Conservatory. All proceeds raised will support the core mission of the Garden, including internationally acclaimed programs in children’s education and plant research and conservation.
