WELLNESS IN THE SCHOOLS GALA
About: The event celebrates the work and dedicated partners who are inspiring healthy eating and physical activity in public schools.
This year’s gala will feature tastings and beverages from 35+ participating restaurant and beverage partners, and will be hosted by TV journalist and fitness expert Jenna Wolfe. Honoring change-makers in the health and wellness space including Melissa Clark of The New York Times, Chop’t Creative Salad Company, and the NYC Department of Education Office of School Food.
There will also be a VIP Hour featuring a cook-off between Chef Michael Anthony of Gramercy Tavern and Untitled, Chef Rocco DiSpirtio, Chef Amanda Freitag of the Food Network’s Chopped and Chef Alex Guarnaschelli of Butter. Josh Reisner from Season 2 of MasterChef Junior will be judging with Eric Goldstein from the NYCDOE and a few other children from participating WITS schools.
