For all aspiring at home chefs, what's the easiest thing to make that will still impress?

A charcuterie board.  Start with a gorgeous rough-edge wooden board, and add assorted cheeses, crackers, olives, home cured meats (if non vegan).  Decorate with roasted, steamed, pickled and dehydrated fresh vegetables, along with fresh crudite.  Top it off with a home-made herb dip, chutneys, or your favorite condiments!
