Where did the concept for Cool Hunting come from?
COOL HUNTING started as a personal project back in 2003. I was building a design team at a mobile phone company and Evan was working on food-focused programming for a big TV personality. We both were finding inspiring stuff every day and I built the site as a place to catalog our finds. After a little while we had an audience and became part of the media ecosystem. I think our early success was because design-minded people were looking for more regular information and inspiration than the monthly magazines that were most common at the time.
