How did your art background translate into where you are today with Fivestory?
I had a one track mind, in that I didn't realize I kind of looked at the world like I looked at art. It wasn't just art. When I decided to do this, I really I thought I was working with nothing. I thought 'oh I just like fashion.' I really made myself pretty superficial, but then I realized that my mind translated aesthetics in all the same way. So when I do look at products or look at couches or floors, I came at it the same way. Is this new? Is it gonna catch somebody's eye and lure them in, or is it gonna catch someone's eye and make them feel weird?
