Editing and storage are my top tips for small apartments. You really have to be judicious about getting rid of things you don’t use or need, or finding places to store them. I go through my entire apartment each season and make donations to Housing Works. I also like to suggest furniture that has built-in storage, even if it’s just a coffee table with a shelf so you can display books and magazines.
