You’re discussing next year’s fashion show today. What can we expect from Grungy Gentleman this year?

It’s spring, so we’re developing our own signature. A lot of brands binge on athletic tailoring, but in my opinion we really encompass that. We don’t try to stifle men—it’s just subtle upgrades, like topcoats and blazers and bomber jackets—easy stuff that guys can approach and not be afraid to say, ‘I can wear this right away.’ It’s very buy-now. And we try to reinvent classics, and what I mean by that is that we took all the snaps and buttons off a safari jacket and made it very clean—we did a hidden zipper, and then we added ribbing on the wrists to give it a youthful element. We try to reimagine a lot of heralded pieces in menswear.
