The way that contemporary art has positioned itself is ‘oh, everything is 5 million dollars,’ and only a handful of collectors can have things in their house. People have this misconception that contemporary art is all conceptual, a little hole in the floor surrounded by matchsticks. I wanted to show that that’s not the case. I have friends who are so smart, who didn't know that this world of amazing art and artists existed. They could buy these pieces without having to mortgage their houses. That's part of the objective of the book.
