When you go into one of your parties you might meet someone that will totally surprise you – that is a magical thing.
Carlos: “I think we’re very democratic in the way we are at our door, and we like to have a good mix. I don’t want that person that thinks they are better than everyone else at the bar, I just don’t. And I’ve actually had someone say that we’re not exclusive enough and I actually had to say to him or her: ‘What makes you think that you are better than anyone else that comes up to the door?’ And if you can answer that than you’re an asshole (Laughs) and b. you really need to take a good look at yourself in the mirror. Everyone should just be out there to have a good time. We both come from very working class families, I come from a really rough neighborhood (the Mission in San Francisco), and we have not forgotten where we’ve come from."
