Where are some of your favorite floral escapes in and around NYC?

Sarah: We are both so busy, but when we do get a chance to escape, I run straight for my family’s cottage in the mountains of Pennsylvania. It’s in a teeny tiny town called Eagles Mere at the top of the Endless Mountain on a lake. There is no cell reception and days are spent hiking, canoeing and going for dips in the lake. I was just there a few weeks ago and the whole town had the most amazing heirloom peonies blooming everywhere. They were the biggest, fluffiest peonies I have ever seen. I couldn’t help but to snatch a few up and before I knew it, the whole house was covered in peonies arrangements. We are also planning for our fall photo shoot to be at the cottage. Michelle: Living in the city and running a company makes it tough to escape to somewhere full of nature and unfortunately neither of us live very close to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, so we have learned to fall in love with little hidden gardens in the backs of bars or restaurants. There are quite a few in our neighborhood with unsuspecting beautiful gardens where we can take in some nature and a good glass of wine. One of our favorites is an outdoor garden in Williamsburg.
