Landmark Tavern
Where: 626 11th Avenue
Opening as a saloon in 1868 and later becoming a speakeasy during prohibition, this restaurant
has remained loyal to its authentic British gastropub routes. Hearty food and single malt whiskey
isn't all Landmark Tavern has to offer though. The restaurant is haunted by both an Irish girl and
Confederate soldier. The young girl who died of typhoid fever still considers the third floor of
the establishment her home and the confederate soldier, shot in a bar fight, tips books off the
shelf in the second-floor party room, where the bathtub he died in still sits.
