New York’s most high-tech haunted house is not only utterly terrifying, it also has an educational element because it is put together by college theater students. Every year, students in City Tech’s Theatreworks program produce the attraction from the ground up, with talking paintings, skeleton pirates and a grisly bathroom. Participants trigger the hotel’s spooky surprises with a series of hidden sensors that respond to the audience’s movements. It's $5 for students and $8 for general admission. If that's not one spooky bargain then we don't know what is!
