While not exactly a haircut of 2013, the chignon is certainly the up-do of the year. Following the high bun trend of years past, celebrities and runway stylists alike are gravitating towards a lower, more old-time glamor look.
Jennifer Lawrence modeled the trend on the red carpet at the Golden Globes and a similar look has been seen on Chanel runways.
Another plus for this sophisticated look? It is super easy to achieve at home since it is understated and should not be "over-groomed"
according to Sam McKnight, who styles runway model's hair for Chanel.
