'Tis the season for even the most cynical among us to curl up on the couch with our besties and indulge in all of the heartwarming, romantic, and feel-good flicks that hit our TV screens every December. And if you're going to have a holiday movie marathon with your crew (ugly sweaters, anyone?), who better to tap for some tips than the leading lady of one of the season's most buzzed-about new holiday films?

Haylie Duff, who stars in Lifetime's upcoming Blending Christmas, has a few recipes up her sleeve perfect for a festive girls' night in. After all, the actress does moonlight as a food blogger on her site, The Real Girl's Kitchen.

A can't-miss for all of our fellow holiday movie stans, Blending Christmas premieres this Sunday, December 12th 8 p.m. EST on Lifetime, taking viewers on a lighthearted ride through the ever relatable misadventures of getting two families to get along for Christmas.

"It's just a good feel-good movie," says Haylie. "It’s all the things that we need to distract ourselves from the news. And it has everything you expect it to: love, comedy, great holiday decor!"

Oh, and speaking of blended families, did we mention that it also stars some of our favorite cast members from the original Brady Bunch, including Christopher Knight, Mike Lookinland, Barry Williams, and Susan Olsen?!

"The cast is wonderful. When we got on set, they were so amazing and you can see that they all genuinely care for each other which I thought was really cool. I love their camaraderie. They all genuinely like being around each other!"

While Haylie and her sister (Hilary, duh!) might be spending the holidays apart this year (Haylie and her family just settled down in Austin), they've got plenty of memories in the vault to hold them over until next time.

"When my sister and I were little, I got a Barbie Corvette - remember those from back in the ‘80s? It was parked under our Christmas tree and I was so excited about it. But then when I realized it actually drove on its own I was scared of it, and my sister just hopped in and put the thing in reverse and drove it up under our tree! Like, floored it," she laughs. "So I’m hoping that we get those crazy memories with our own children!"

No stranger to at-home hosting, Haylie also has a new favorite cocktail that she and her own crew can't get enough of.

"My girlfriends and I love to play dominoes and our new favorite drink for dominoes night has been this whiskey called Screwball. Now I do not drink whiskey normally, but this is so good. It’s a peanut butter whiskey and you serve it over ice with almond milk or oat milk. It’s so delicious!"

Thankfully, it pairs well with any of Haylie's go-to recipes ahead!
