I'm going to use Vanderpump Rules as an example because my favorite thing about that show is that it is all 1000% real, totally not staged, and I know the characters inside and out because I watch them for an hour a week. Everyone used to think Jax was the biggest sociopath of all time. Then he met Brittany, who is cute but naive (and she always sounds like she took to big of a bite of something that's piping hot, right?). So then everyone thought he changed for the better even though he's assaulted people, bullied people, and has even gone to jail since then. He's even cheated on Brittany!
