Is there a common theme between your past projects and dessert?
There are similarities in the rooster paintings for sure. But this is largely conceptually very new for me. The doughnut paintings reflect this new lifestyle that I have been exposed to. New Yorkers take their sweets very seriously – some of them are works of art themselves. These are paintings of sweets, but they are about the people that eat them and the lifestyles they live.
