So in 5 years, where do you think electronic music will be? Well if you look at the history of music in general, for example look at the age where rock n' roll turned into pop music, you can see that you get more sub-genres. What's happening right now is that when I listen to a Krewella set, they were introducing dubstep and house and trance. Porter Robinson was playing trance in his house set. So I think this is what will happen. And this is what's normal, and this is what's good, because this is what keeps music interesting. Look at the Beatles, they listen to Bob Dylan, and Bach used to listen to Beethoven. You know...[the way] we were brought up is that when you go into your cupboard at home you have a jar that says peanut butter, and you open the jar, and it has peanut butter in it. And you have a jar that says jam, and you open the jar, and there's jam in it. But I'm sorry to say, it doesn't work like that in music. Trance is not a fixed thing. [Photo courtesy of Carl Scheffel]
