Electric Room: Damon

Electric Room: Damon
Damon Peruzzi What's your tipping point? It's all relative. Honestly, I like to keep the door as diplomatic as possible. If someone is not coming in, I like to say 'you can't come in, I don't want to ruin your night, please leave.' I'm never going to say you're fat or your shoes are terrible. That's never going to come out of my mouth, which some door people do. 'I can't let you in, please go somewhere else. Don't ruin your own night. There are thousands of other places in New York, please go to one of them.' I try to be as polite as I can. You and Megan (the other door person at Electric Room) have been incredibly nice. So far. Right, so far. I have my moments, I definitely have my moments. I was wearing these white Margiela shoes, and I have a size 11 foot, which is kind of big for my height, and this guy told me my shoes don't fit. I was like, my shoes fit fine actually, and I looked down and he had these teeny feet for a tall man. I was like what are you talking about, your feet are so small. I normally never say something back to people, but I was like you have a little foot, what are you talking about? Did you not let him in? Of course he didn't get in. He told me I have a big foot. Rule number one: don't insult the doorman and then try and get in. People do that all the time, and I'm like listen you just insulted me and are still trying to get in. I don't understand that mentality.
