People always ask, what can I do in Times Square that isn't touristy? And I always say, there's so much you can do, but just don't go when the tourists go. So I'd say, go to Sardi's. We did a whole podcast on Sardi's. You have to go in between when the tourists are there - after the show starts, or after 11. It's such a bizarre place, and it continues to be really rewarding, especially if you find the right pocket of time. They have this little entranceway where all of Broadway's greatest drunks used to stand in the '40s, '50s, and '60s. It's the first place that caused a stink over the mayor's crackdown on food. They're still able to serve the winner of the Westminster Dog Show, for example. That took a little bit of negotiating, probably.Sardi's
