A really interesting experience was the House of Louis Armstrong in Corona, Queens. What's incredible about it is that this is another little capsule. It's a preserved two-story house. It reminded me of Graceland, because Louis Armstrong's wife had beautiful and very flamboyant taste, so all the rooms have this extraordinary decor that's been preserved. It's really off-the-grid, so they have old timers who give the tours - they let you wander around a little. It's a private museum I think. There's something about it that's really affecting compared to other house museums I've been to - this one had the imprint of a huge personality.House of Louis Armstrong
