Now fashion is moving so fast, in the '60s no one wanted to dress like the '40s,but now people want to dress like the '90s
A lot of the models I work with, they were born in the '90s, I was born in the '70s, so when I think of the '70s it seems so far away. It's the same for these kids who were born in the '90s; it's when they were born, there's a lot to be mined from it. But funny enough the fashions from the '90s and now are very similar. Hoodies, black jeans, when you think about it, the '70s to the '90s was very different. Even the '70s to '80s was very different. Somehow the '90s to now is not so...
Well now the '70s thing is coming back really hard...
(Laughs) Well that's the beauty of fashion isn't it?
Is that fantasy element what drew you to fashion in the first place?
I was drawn to fashion, so I could tell stories, so I could release my imagination, I could be free in a way.
