Do the demands of dancing change for each performance?
For me I take acting classes, because a lot of the ballets I do, you have to portray a character and it can be very challenging. I did Romeo & Juliet for the first time this season, I played Juliet. It was like a dream role for me, I worked with an acting coach to prepare for that and learn techniques, and analyze the story and the character.
It all should [read] through your body, but then you have to use your face to express too, so hopefully it all comes together organically, the acting and the dancing, so they're kind of inseparable.
