What Tcheng's film captures more poignantly than anything else, is Raf Simons, the man, the creative, the genius. For a fashion figure, he's always been rather mysterious, but
Dior and I shows audiences a glimpse of his personality and even gives him a chance to explain himself. At one point, in the back of a car, he fervently denies his reputation of being a "minimalist," and there wasn't a dry eye in the house when he's overcome with emotion before his debut Dior show. Oh, Raf.
