The IFC Center
The historic Waverly Theater (ya know, the one that started The Rocky Horror Picture Show!) has been transformed into an indie moviegoer's dream. Famous for their documentaries and independent foreign films, IFC Center is the place to go to see the movies you won't see anywhere else. Come for the subculture-vibe, stay for the big comfy seats and seriously cool discussion series. With events like the Sundance Film Festival Short Tour (June 17th), or the Human Rights Watch Film Festival (June 10th-19th), your Ken Burns wannabe will be eating out of the palm of your hand.
