Lena Dunham
It should come as no surprise that Lena has made the list of women to know in TV and film. Whether you love or hate her, you can't deny the accomplishment of winning "Best Series" and "Best Actress" Golden Globes, both for her HBO show Girls. Because of Lena's trademark brutal honesty, the grungy and often uncomfortable show stands apart from the typical glammed up portrayal of young New Yorkers. Thanks for the laughs, Lena, not so much for the image of Hannah's dad throwing his back out mid-shower sex, which is forever burned into my memory.
