Located inside the historic James A. Farley Post Office, the Skylight features a Beaux-Arts exterior and an industrial interior where, at one point, 90% of the mail in the US was processed. Moynihan Station was built as a replica of Penn Station, to ease traffic and encourage tourism. In the same building, the Skylight hosts a 41,000 square foot event space (once a mail sorting room), and a 33,000 square foot postal dock.
