Hurricane Club Probably the only upscale Polynesian restaurant in the city, the Hurricane Club is a Gramercy restaurant that really belongs in the Meatpacking. It's big, loud and fun but more importantly the food is excellent. The New York Times actually gave The Hurricane Club a "Critics Pick" in their review. The restaurant is fitted with what is called a "Rum and Shine" which is a working rum fountain and a shoe shiner just in case you need to look extra spiffy for the night you are about to endure around the corner at Riff Raff. [Photo via] Riff Raff Because New York always needs a tiki themed ultra-lounge, Riff Raff is a small nightspot around the corner from the Hurricane Club. Riff Raff is home to the world's fastest bartender, but bottle service is king. Your best method of entry would either be to buy bottle service or get a bar tab at the door (which usually ranges to $100 a person) since space is limited walking in is rather tough.
