Thursday: IFC Upfronts
Thursday we DJed the IFC Upfronts. We’re still not entirely sure what Upfronts are all about but we do know that quirky comedy legends were in full effect at the soon-to-be-demolished Roseland Ballroom that night. The event planners had converted the dance floor into a roller rink and we cranked out a blend of disco classics by the usual suspects, and nu disco burners by the likes of Chromeo, Oliver, and Gigamesh.
Then Fred Armisen, Marc Marron, and Scott Auckerman took the stage to perform with what can only be described as the world’s coolest dad band. But are these guys even actual dads? We’ll have to check on that. They kicked out some jams playing a couple of legit tunes by The Clash and Generation X.
Look at how funny Fred Armisen’s face is! Not that he’s “Funny-Looking” he just looks like his face is bursting with hilarious jokes:
