The Box London

Origins: New York The Box is a self-proclaimed “Theatre of Varieties” cabaret nightclub. While the Lower East Side address in New York is full of character and theater, the Soho London outpost is a typical “club” having taken over a former bar space, quite unlike the defunct factory space which houses the original Box. The Box NY does everything right: from its commanding stage to the somewhat organized chaos that gives off the feel of being in a rich hoarder’s entertaining room. The Box Soho comes off slightly too polished. Further, the London nightclub has had its share of drama, from bad publicity regarding the clientele it attracts to the alleged unsanctioned acts that have taken place.
