As we dashed out of the Waldorf Astoria we had what may have been the most significant sighting of the whole evening; the new cab! There are only 8 of these bad boys cruising around New York right now and we finally saw one out in the wild. The renderings made it look like a glorified suburban mini-van but in person the new cab has more in common with the Retro-Futurism of the Johnny Cab from Total Recall than a soccer mom's commuter mini-bus.
