Horsing Around

Horsing Around
On the red carpet we chatted with opera-singer Amy Shoremount-Obra about the eight month process of putting the evening's entertainment together. We asked her about the toughest audience she's ever performed for and she told us big to-dos like this are a breeze, it's when she performs for a handful of her peers that she really gets nervous. We were wondering what made the preparation for the performance so time-consuming but as soon as we saw the horses we understood. As much as we where secretly hoping to see these beasts would collide with a table or guest, they where masterfully handled by their, um, handlers? Who prevented more than one near collision. For the most part the horses where very calm considering all the lights and sound and commotion which got us thinking "Do horses enjoy the taste of champagne?"
