Elvis Guesthouse

Elvis GuesthouseThe King never died. According to the mythology of East Village hot spot, Elvis Guesthouse, Elvis Presley hitchhiked around South Asia until he settled in Kathmandu and opened a hippie bar for vagrants. This NYC iteration is apparently an "exact replica." Some story, huh? Nevertheless the live music venue (from the team behind Baby's All Right) is a hipster hang beneath a Japanese restaurant, low ceilings and all. Amid the pink paint, bright blue shower tiles, and flower wall, you'll find the likes of Dev Hynes, Camille Rowe, and the occasional member of a major indie rock band (Cameron Avery of Tame Impala, anyone?).
