The Vault at Pfaff's
Beneath the street of Broadway, history is revived with the reopening of the 1850's cocktail cellar frequented by Mark Twain and Walt Whitman.
The Vault maintains the atmosphere that drew in covert trysts of the early 20th century with dim lighting, portraits of nudes,
exposed fieldstone cellar walls, velvet brocade sofas, and
corset-laced waitresses, wearing uniforms designed by Christian Siriano.
Before you can get your hands on the egg-white-fluffed drinks or truffle mac and cheese, you'll have to get by the bouncer-guarded door beneath the sidewalk.
