DJ Mia Moretti
Mia Moretti has been described by the New York Times as "the new club kid" for her deep understanding of crowds, list of appearances at cool NYC nightlife spots including 1Oak and Boom Boom Room, and knack for style. She has spun for guests including the Clinton's at Chelsea Clinton's wedding and Janet Jackson at a party at the Louvre. Mia understands music and like an alchemist, admits to having acquired a sense of the science behind how to DJ a successful party.
"If I walk into 1 Oak or Avenue, I have to be really aware of what people are responding to," [Mia Moretti] said. "Put on an Ace of Base song and everyone clears the dance floor in 30 seconds. Then you have four promoters running up to you screaming."
Mia, a California native, is relatively new to the New York nightlife scene, but since her move, has established herself as an it-girl DJ with mash ups of tracks like Katy Perry's "Hot 'N Cold." This cool DJ's go to track? Tina Turner's "What's Love Got To Do With It."
