Analysis: Technology today is bringing people together, while simultaneously isolating people from each other due to social media and the popularity of texting. Most guys I know will text a girl before actually calling her. It turns out a phone call may be "en vogue" again. A third of the girls I surveyed actually want you to call them. While the other third don’t care either way. Though it should be noted the remaining girls insisted you text them for first contact. Again, you're better off trying to assess the situation the best you can during your first meeting and proceed accordingly. However, don't be scared to give them a call if it went well. It may set you apart from the others.
