"A sophisticated piano bar without the piano" is how Ian Schrager, the nightlife and hospitality legend, describes the recently opened Bar Chrystie at his buzzy hotel, PUBLIC

The opulent new cocktail lounge takes its inspiration from the golden age of Hollywood and glamorous international haunts like Bar Hemingway at the Hôtel Ritz Paris and Harry’s Bar in Venice. Throw in some classic New York City flair, a few fallen chandeliers, and a dirty martini or two and you've got yourself an instant hot spot.

Filled with plush seating and rich blue banquettes, Bar Chrystie infuses the sultry vibes of an after-dark rendezvous with all the vibrant energy of a downtown party. There's a DJ booth at the ready along with an upscale selection of rare and fine spirits, Champagne, theatrical cocktails, and inventive bites curated by Chef John Fraser and Chef Diego Muñoz in collaboration with visionary Master Mixologist Robert Krueger.

If you're in the market for more than just a simple nightcap, indulge in experiential sips like the Champagne Boilermaker, topped with 24K gold covered sugar rosettes, or the Black Tie Optional, prepared tableside in a decanter with Don Julio 1942. Of course, you won't want to skip pairing your drink with some of Chef Muñoz's delectable tapas, from spicy tuna tartare and little ram oysters to chorizo-ibérico croquettes and truffle flatbread.

Whether you're looking to start your night off right or end it on a high note, Bar Chrystie is no doubt the place to be.
