No. 8
[Outside No. 8, via] Overview: Amy Sacco's controversial new venture, No. 8, (a nod to Bungalow 8) quietly opened over the spring. Location: 357 W. 16th Street Team: Bungalow 8's Amy Sacco More Details: The former Queen Bee of NY nightlife has been laying low since closing Bungalow 8 in 2009, but as soon as No. 8's soft openings began in May of this year, Sacco proved that her newest venture still has the cool-factor. In an interview with the Times she said of the guest list, “everyone who comes is a cool person, but not because they’re famous.” Insider's Scorecard: This bi-level space is decorated with palm trees and a mirrored cocktail bar, but No 8. is setting itself apart from its predecessor, Bungalow 8, by billing the new space as a "gastro-pub." It's worth checking out, even if for no reason other than to see what Amy Sacco's been up to over the past few years. [No. 8, via] See Also: [Photo Of The Day: RIP Bungalow 8, 2001-2009]
