9 Great Ways To Give Back In NYC This Summer

Since 1971, the Bowery Resident’s Committee (BRC) has been dedicated to helping those impoverished or with addictions through recovery, professional support and community action. BRC engages men and women of all ages who want to turn their loves around and overcome poverty, addiction, physical and mental illness, homelessness and unemployment. You can volunteer individually or with small or large groups of more than five people. Positions vary from teaching ballroom dancing to painting hallways, teaching ESL classes and assisting during meal service, so you can marry your interests with your volunteer opportunities.
