Designed to carry your sunglasses, this special limited-edition canvas pouch was made entirely by Kenyan artisans—screen-printing, cutting, sewing, managing of production, and finishing. The beaded versions were hand-beaded by them as well. Visionary designer Karen Walker employed the artisans for her Summer 2014 "Visible" collection of eyewear through the United Nations ITC Ethical Fashion Initiative. (She even featured workers as her campaign stars!) EFI aims to create work in community groups of micro-artisans in urban and rural areas of Kenya and elsewhere, living by the slogan "Not Charity, Just Work" as it seeks to promote sustainable business over dependency on aid.
