America has progressed in numerous ways throughout the past century. One social group that has recently began enjoying some similar progressive liberties is the LGBT community. There are numerous non-profits that assist this community as a whole, but even then a sub-group is often left out. The elder LGBT is often overlooked as needing support because they get packaged with the entire community. But as in any demographic the elder's have different needs and are comfortable with a different support system.
SAGE provides supportive services and consumer resources to LGBT older adults and their caregivers. This non-profit is a nationwide organization and has offices in NYC, Washington D.C., and Chicago.
