New York is one of the most expensive cities to live in. The struggle to keep food on the table is even more difficult for those without a job. Unfortunately, many elderly people are out of a job, and there is a large community of people struggling to provide themselves with the very basic necessities to survive. Citymeals-On-Wheels is a non-profit organization with a two-pronged approach to assist the elderly. They raise funds to ensure that any elderly person in need has enough food to sustain themselves. Secondly, they pair up a volunteer to share a meal with the elder recipient. Citymeals-On-Wheels guarantees 100% of all donations are used for preparation and delivery of meals.
