Right after the Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines, AmeriCares shipped $1.4 million to help aid survivors. To date, a new shipment of $1 million in medical aid has been sent over to help those in need. In addition, AmeriCares response party, the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, sent medical aid to a hospital in Tacloban, a major area devastated by the disaster. These are only some of the major forms of aid AmeriCares has provided victims with thus far.
