Ludlow Hotel

Ludlow Hotel
Sean MacPherson In the past few months, rumors have swirled about when the 180 Ludlow Street building would be utilized as a hotel. Now, hotelier Sean MacPherson has revealed some information about the new Hotel Ludlow, which is set to open in Spring 2014, following his interview with the New York Times' Sunday Styles. The hotel marks MacPherson's return to below-Houston Street territory, where his Bowery Hotel has been a dominant fixture in the ceaselessly blossoming neighborhood. With the completion of the Marlton Hotel, the attention will shift to Ludlow, where MacPherson will once again weave his brand of relaxed charm into one of New York's hippest destinations. One of the most exciting features of the new space will be a restaurant headed by Italian specialists Rich Torrisi and Mario Carbone. Though the area is not short of nightlife attractions, this is the first major boutique hotel backed by established names to make its way to the LES, and you can expect it to have a similar effect as The Standard East Village or the Ace Hotel in Flatiron.
