Players Club

Players Club
Edwin Booth, older brother of Lincoln-assassin John Wilkes, founded Players Club in the mid-19th century not only to help redeem the family name, but to create a venue where actors could network with businessmen, writers, and other professionals.  Since its inception, Players has become one of the premier clubs of thespian hobnobbery, boasting prestigious past and present members including Mark Twain, Kevin Spacey, Jimmy Fallon, Gregory Peck, and Liza Minnelli. (Helen Hayes was the first woman, admitted on Shakespeare's birthday in 1989.)  Why strut and fret your hour upon the stage, when you could be having happy hour here? Players Club, 16 Gramercy Park South. $750/year for 35 and under.  For more information, go HERE. [Liza Minnelli, Photo via]
