The rise and fall of Billy McFarland is a cautionary tale. Once hailed as a millennial entrepreneur thanks to Magnises, his farcical "black card" which would grant members exclusive access to hot spots and events around the city, the young fraudster would eventually plead guilty to scamming investors out of over $26 million to support his disastrous Fyre Festival, which left rich kids stranded on an island fighting off feral dogs. Not quite the supermodel-filled fest they were expecting.
